Methodology

In this study, I have taken a phenomenological approach to understand how immigrants experience the phenomenon of discrimination within the workplace. The goal is to identify the essence of this discrimination and how it is coped with. I will be sending out online surveys to students who identify as immigrants. The survey will be designed to filter out which immigrants have not felt discrimination, so further interviews can be conducted for candidates to elaborate on their experiences feeling discriminated. Interviews will be transcripted and coded to uncover similarities and differences between candidates and understand themes and relationships between minorities and workplace discriminatiion.
